Cultivating Trust Across Every Village and Farm

Our Community

Nurturing Our Roots

Growing Together

At Messina Beej, we believe community extends beyond boundaries. We collaborate with local farmers and their communities to cultivate conditions where growth is mutual. To truly uplift farmers, we focus on enhancing the ecosystem they depend on.

Our different community initiatives allow us to focus on our mission and not get distracted by administrative tasks. As part of our mission, we take a holistic approach to our work and where possible, we aim to improve conditions in entire communities, for a brighter future of Bihar. We work together as one to solve the most vexing challenges and strive hard for ensuring the well-being of our people and places and bring positive changes.

Kisan Mela: Messina Mitr

Celebrating 60+ Years of Growing Together

For over a decade now, Messina Beej has proudly hosted Messina Mitr — our annual Kisan Mela dedicated to the hardworking farmers of Bihar. What began as a small gathering of 200 farmers has now flourished into a grand celebration of over 600 farmers coming together every year. In 2019, our team very proudly hosted over 1200 farmers across a two-day event.

At Messina Mitr, farmers visit our R&D and plant facilities, meet our experts, share their challenges, and exchange ideas. It’s more than an event — it’s a platform for learning, trust-building, and community progress. Their visit to our facilities also allows them an opportunity to interact directly with our MD, Shri Anil Kumar Misra and other senior leaders of the company.

But our commitment doesn’t end with the Mela. Throughout the year, we stay closely connected to our farmer community through regular farmer meetings, where we hold open discussions about crop performance, weather conditions, soil health, and best farming practices. Combined with research-driven solutions, high-quality seeds, and continuous knowledge-sharing, we empower farmers to grow smarter and thrive season after season.

Painting Competition

Messina Chitra Kala Pratiyogita

At Messina Beej, we believe in nurturing young talent beyond the fields. In February 2021, we organized the Messina Chitra Kala Pratiyogita, a painting competition for children aged between 5 – 15 years. Despite schools being closed for over a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 200 children. Winners were celebrated with prizes and trophies across three different age categories.

Building on that success, we have continued to host the competition annually. In the 2025 edition, open to children up to Class 8, we were thrilled to welcome over 650 participants. Their creativity and enthusiasm brought the event to life, turning it into a vibrant celebration of color, imagination, and community spirit.

Funding Futures

Supporting Educational Institutions

The Misra family has always supported different educational institutions by providing funds, as part of their community initiatives. Apart from donating lands for schools, we also donated funds for Ram Nirikshan Atma Ram College, Samastipur.
